Avimeca is a video-based motion analysis tool widely used in physics and engineering education. It allows you to import a video of a moving object, set spatial and temporal calibrations, and track one or more points frame by frame. From these measurements, the software generates trajectories and plots position, velocity, and acceleration over time. It’s commonly used to explore kinematics topics such as projectile motion, free fall, oscillations, and circular motion, and to compare experimental data with theoretical models. Data and visuals can be exported for lab reports or further analysis.

Key features:

  • Point tracking and coordinate extraction from video
  • Spatial and temporal calibration
  • Graphs of x(t), y(t), velocity, and acceleration with basic smoothing/derivatives
  • Vector overlays (e.g., velocity and acceleration)
  • Data and image export for documentation
  • Suitable for classroom labs and student projects

Avimeca is developed by CNDP and is used by 2 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.0 and 3.0. The names of program executable files are avimeca2.exe, avimeca3.exe and _626CDE6B6AD9_11D5_968B_00E029441B6D.exe.
